Dr. Rohith received Ph.D in Microwave antennas from Cochin University of Science & Technology under the guidance of Prof. P. Mohanan. After his thesis he joined as Post doctoral researcher at University Paris Est Marne la Vallee, France, and worked in two industrial projects from Thales Alenia Space, France & Axess Europe, Toulouse. He had spent over 2 years as a Scientist in the R&D laboratory of Axess Europe SAS, Toulouse, France, and engaged in the R & D activities of an active Ku band phased array system for Inflight Internet Access system. He also worked as a Senior Antenna Engineer in Power Technologies R&D India Pvt. Ltd. and involved in the development of multi-band indoor antennas.
Since 2010, he has been working as a faculty member of Department of Electronics, Government College Mananthavady, Kerala, India, and serving as Head of the department. In 2005 he received an International Young Scientist Award from International Union of Radio Science (URSI), Belgium for his research achievements during his Doctoral research, and was invited to the Rashtrapathi Bhavan by Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam, the then President of India. His current areas of Research activities are in Dielectric Resonator Antennas, Microstrip Antennas, FDTD Analysis, Metamaterials, Reflect Arrays, Reduction of Radar Cross Section, Microwave Instrumentation etc. He also involved in the implementation of different Scientific research project from Government of India and overseas agencies such as UGC, Polarizone Technologies, Malaysia, Wireless People Malaysia etc. He has authored/co-authored more than 30 research papers in referred Journals and Symposia and holds one International Patent on the design of a dielectric resonator antenna. Dr. Rohith is a reviewer of the journal IEEE Transactions on Antennas & Propagation USA. He also serves as a member, staff selection committee of Institute of Human Resource Development (IHRD) Applied Science College, Wayanad, Kerala. He is serving as nodal officer of EDUSAT Satellite Interactive facility, Co-ordinator of Additional Skill Acquisition Programme (ASAP), a government initiative to strengthen the employability of undergraduate students and the Mentor of 6 students in the Govt. of Kerala sponsored project 'Walk with Scholar'. |
